Sensei taught formal classes, Self-Defense courses, Rape prevention seminars, Military Police combat tactics to the DA/USAF Military Police, Special Trainings, and Summer Camps, from 1974-98 in Europe and currently in the USA. The customs and formalities have been upheld in the ancient Japanese traditions taught to him by his JKA Shotokan instructors, H. Iwakabe and current instructor Shihan Kenneth Funakoshi, 9th Dan, FSKA. Sensei Bolosan possesses that quality of honor and superior ability to show how true traditional karate-do allows a deeper understanding of life for which he has been taught, the spirit of Bushido. It is this strength and spirit through constant reinforcement and teachings that will be passed on to the next generation. Sensei Bolosan has competed in World, European and USA competitions, he currently holds numerous titles in Kata and Kumite. In 1986, he was the first American to take a Gold, in Kumite at the JKA German Championship. As a coach, the FSKA German and Swiss National Teams (2007) garnered 3 European and 2 World titles from 1995-1997 and 2007. It is through this traditional style of karate he has produced outstanding students, competitors, instructors and world class champions. He continues to share his knowledge and experience with the Japanese philosophy as a competitor and teacher. |
